Before the final departure of drummer Phil Taylor from Motorhead in 1992, I was asked to join guitarists Wurzel and Phil Campbell at a London rehearsal studio, where I used Phil’s DW kit to help out on some new song ideas for a new Motorhead album. The album became ‘March Or Die’. A number of song ideas were recorded. I was told that Taylor failed to attend rehearsals claiming that his CD player had broken (?).

After the session, we adjourned to the pub, where I was asked by Phil and Wurzel to join the band (Phil Taylor hadn’t been fired at that point, but in confidence, they explained the situation to me).
